For over 40 years Master Williams has been part of this community and locally attended both elementary school and high school. He graduated from the University of Missouri – Rolla (now Missouri S&T) with both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Geophysics and has been published multiple times including internationally. Master Williams has served as Chairman of the Deacons at his local church for 11 years.
Master Williams trained under Master Len Burns (5th Dan Black Belt) until his passing in 2020. After Master Len's death Master Williams has continued his training under the guidance of Master Patrick L. Thimangu. Master Thimangu is Owner and Master Instructor of Arch Taekwondo in downtown St. Louis, and he holds ranks of 7th Dan Kukkiwon Black Belt, 2nd Class Kukkiwon International Master Instructor, and 2nd Class Kukkiwon Dan/Poom Examiner.
Master Len Burns, 5th Dan Black Belt, passed away on 2/11/2020 after a 10-year fight with cancer. Master Len had retired in 2018 after 25 years of dedicated service to his students. In his retirement Master Len remained a faithful advisor even though he had stepped away from the day-to-day rigor of teaching. Master Len, my mentor and my friend, will always be a vital member of our Taekwondo family.
God Speed ole five stripe.
